802 is a devastating rubber when used to hit close to the table, Thicker sponge will allow you to throw a reasonable amount of spin. Thinner sponge say 1.5-1.0 will give you a more controlled hitting game. Use HRS if your goal is controlled spin. Use 729 sponge if your primary use will be hitting, Ding Song (legend in the late 90’s Chinese TT team), used 802 with 1.0 and 1.5 for a chopping and hitting game. Available in Black or Red.
